GUIDING PRINCIPLES - Wednesday, April 06, 2011
  1. Support legislation, regulation, and policies at all levels that will benefit consumers, the environment, and the water community.
  2. Participate in development of legislation and regulations.
  3. Provide information to membership of pending legislation and regulations that may impact the water industry.
  4. Promote positive relationships with legislators and regulators, and promote AWWA and ISAWWA as the leading source for information and expertise within the drinking water profession.
  5. Participate in annual AWWA Water Matters! Fly-In to promote drinking water issues to Illinois legislators in Washington, D.C.
 

GOALS FOR 2011/2012 - Wednesday, April 06, 2011
1.  Provide timely articles for inclusion in SPLASH publication.

2.  Maintain information of ISAWWA portal website for Section membership use.

3.  Provide timely response to State and Federal legislative and regulatory issues as they develop.

4.  Maintain communication exchange with AWWA Water Utility Council and Legislative Affairs Committees.

5.  Represent Illinois in Washington, DC for AWWA Water Matters! Fly-In, April 4th & 5th, 2011.
